![]() Both voice actors did an outstanding job making you feel exactly what the story wanted you to in the moment. It’s full of moments that made me laugh, or took me back to the time period. I was drawn in by the story, and the dialogue was so enjoyable. Even if I wasn’t scared as I would like to be playing a game like this. It took me back to “FireWatch” and how I felt about that games voice acting talent. It is a quite well delivered Mystery in my opinion. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a quality experience though. There is a few times though, and when it does they are quality scares. Unfortunately this title doesn’t do that very much. The FPS exploration of creepy places can really pull you in, and give you that uneasy feeling. I constantly felt unsure of where I was meant to go and finding myself in places that you're not intended to reach until later on. I think I'm especially disappointed because the hotel setting is an interesting environment to explore, but like the story, it isn't translated into anything worth exploring or engaging with. As much as I thought the story was interesting enough, you need to translate this into gameplay, or what is this point? Write a book! (Though the story isn't good enough for a book, so don't do that either.) The protagonist is very unlikable, and I don't think she's intended to be, and the conclusion is somewhat predictable. I think I'm Lacking any real direction or gameplay. The only downfall is the game is a little short in the end and leaves you wanting more story for your Xbox. However, upon returning to the hotel, Nicole unexpectedly descends into a mystery involving dark family secrets. Now that both of her parents have passed, Nicole hopes to fulfil her mother’s last wish to sell the hotel and make amends to Rachel’s relatives.
